Gum Springs Dental Care is seeking an X-ray Certified Hygiene Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals with little to no dental experience, as we offer extensive on-the-job training to develop your skills and knowledge. You will work alongside experienced hygiene providers to deliver excellent patient care in a supportive environment.

Role Responsibilities
  • Greet and assist patients, ensuring their comfort and providing education about treatments
  • Review patient health histories to ensure quality care
  • Support hygienists during procedures in accordance with state dental practice laws
  • Prepare treatment rooms, including stocking supplies
  • Use Dentrix for scheduling and records management
  • Follow safety protocols, OSHA, and CDC guidelines to maintain a safe environment
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow
Minimum Qualifications
  • VA X-ray certification
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Team player with excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
  • Must complete HIPAA training and protect patient information
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform essential duties with or without accommodations
  • Prolonged sitting and standing
  • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds
  • Availability for periodic training sessions
  • TB test required prior to employment (excluding FL & TN)
