Job summary

HydroExcavators, LLC in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Non-CDL Operator for on-site hydro-vacuum excavation work. You will spend 70%+ time operating equipment outside the truck, performing non-destructive excavation around underground piping and cables.

The role requires lifting 60+ pounds, safety-mindedness, and flexibility to travel for out-of-town work. You will document reports, coordinate with on-site teams, and support maintenance and safety meetings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; OSHA 10 safety certification required.
• If OSHA10 not held, Hydro Excavators, LLC will fund online training with the applicant completing the course within 5 days of hiring; certification remains the applicant's property.

Responsibilities

• Document all required company, federal, state, and customer paperwork clearly.
• Communicate with on-site customer representatives to locate the safest parking for equipment.
• Lead and direct subordinate personnel to perform duties safely and efficiently.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to equipment as needed.
• Maintain safety as a core focus and participate in safety meetings.
• Travel out of town and out of state for work when required.

HydroX - Non-CDL Operator

Position Overview:

Seventy percent or more of the job's work time is spent operating the on-board hydro- vacuum system outside the truck performing non-destructive excavation around sensitive underground piping and cables.

Other hydro-vac work consists of tank entry, cleaning and vacuuming, mobilization of equipment, truck maintenance, and safety meetings. Heavy lifting at times is required. Working at heights is sometimes required.

Essential Functions:

• Properly document all Company, Federal, State, and Customer documentation/paperwork as required by law and or established policy in a clear and legible manner.
• Able to effectively and professionally communicate with on-site customer representatives to locate the least intrusive and safest place to park company equipment while on the job site.
• Able to lead and direct subordinate personnel to perform duties/tasks in a safe, timely, and efficient manner.
• Able to troubleshoot and as the need arises perform minor repairs to equipment.
• Safety-mindedness is essential.
• Travel out of town and out of state to work will be required.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull 60+ pounds and work heavy equipment
• Must be willing to work flexible hours.
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must be comfortable navigating electronic equipment
