Job summary

United Companies, a CRH Company, is seeking a Vac Truck Operator in Grand Junction, CO. You will operate hydrovac and, at times, a sweeper truck on various western Colorado construction sites, performing excavations and safety procedures.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, valid CDL Class A or B with Tanker and Air Brake endorsements, and the ability to travel. Strict adherence to safety and DOT regulations is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid Class A or Class B CDL; Tanker and Air Brake Endorsements required.
• Previous vacuum truck, industrial services, construction, utility, or related equipment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate hydrovac equipment and perform hydrovac duties in various environments.
• Safely operate sweeper truck.
• Travel to job sites throughout western Colorado.
• Work under an excavation crew when not operating a vacuum or sweeper truck.
• Protect critical underground infrastructure.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain clean, organized trucks and job sites.
• Follow all DOT regulations and Pro-Vac safety standards.
• Attend safety meetings
• Perform routine inspections and minor repairs of the hydrovac equipment
• Prepare work areas by setting up safety measures and addressing potential hazards
• Other duties as assigned
