Job summary

Black & McDonald (BMEI) in Salt Lake City is expanding its field operations. We seek a dedicated Vac Truck Operator to safely operate hydro excavation equipment and support our construction projects in a collaborative team environment.

The role requires 1–3 years of related experience, a valid CDL Class A with a clean record, and the ability to work OT. Applicants must pass drug screening and a motor vehicle background check, with strong reading, writing and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of construction-related experience preferred.
• Experience with HydroVac Trucks/Hydro Excavation.
• Valid Class A CDL with clean record required.
• Willing to work overtime.
• Must pass drug screening and motor vehicle background check.
• Able to read, write, and communicate effectively daily.
• Physically able to lift, climb, walk and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate Vac Truck and hydro excavation equipment on site.
• Read and follow safety instructions and site plans.
• Collaborate with coworkers and clients daily.
• Maintain and report productivity and equipment status.
• Fulfill pre/post job inspections and basic maintenance.
