Job summary

United Companies, a CRH Company, seeks a Vac Truck Operator to operate hydrovac and vacuum systems on construction sites across western Colorado. You will support excavation crews and protect underground infrastructure while maintaining equipment and complying with DOT safety standards.

CDL required with Tanker and Air Brake endorsements; must pass pre-employment checks and be willing to travel. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and teamwork on diverse job sites.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid CDL Class A or B; Tanker and Air Brake Endorsements required.
• Previous vacuum truck, industrial services, construction, utility, or related equipment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate hydrovac equipment in a variety of environments.
• Safely operate sweeper truck.
• Travel to job sites throughout western Colorado.
• Work with excavation crew when not operating vacuum or sweeper.
• Protect critical underground infrastructure.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain clean, organized trucks and job sites.
• Follow all DOT regulations and Pro-Vac safety standards.
• Attend safety meetings.
• Perform routine inspections and minor repairs of hydrovac equipment.
• Prepare work areas with safety measures and address hazards.
• Other duties as assigned.
