Job summary

Chain Electric Company is seeking a motivated Hydrovac Operator to operate vacuum trucks and related equipment to perform industrial cleaning, hydro excavation, waste removal, and environmental services at customer sites. This role requires adherence to safety regulations, proper equipment handling, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities include pre-trip inspections, paperwork, and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL (Class A) required; tanker endorsement preferred.
• Experience with hydrovac, vacuum trucks or hydro excavation.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, evenings, and on-call rotations.
• Ability to travel for projects as needed.
• Knowledge of DOT and OSHA safety regulations.
• Must pass drug screen and background check.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Hydrovac trucks and related vacuum excavation equipment
• Perform utility locating support, daylighting, potholing, trenching, and excavation activities
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle and equipment inspections
• Complete required paperwork, safety documentation, and job reports accurately
• Maintain equipment, tools, and vehicles in clean and professional condition
• Follow all company, customer, DOT, OSHA, and site-specific safety requirements
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, customers, and crew members
• Represent Chain Electric professionally on all job sites
