Job summary

Superior Hydrovac is seeking a Hydrovac Operator to join our on-site field team in Texas. The role focuses on safe operation of hydro excavation equipment, exposure of underground utilities, and strict adherence to safety protocols.

You will supervise laborers, perform site set-up, and ensure accurate documentation of daily activities. Applicants must hold a Class A CDL with Air Brake and Tank endorsements and have at least 1 year of related experience or training.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in safety protocols and operating hydrovac equipment.
• Ability to read and follow instructions and plans.
• Strong communication within a team on active job sites.

Responsibilities

• Operate hydrovac trucks and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Supervise and coordinate Hydrovac Laborers for skill development.
• Set up grounding/bonding procedures for operations.
• Complete required paperwork and maintain records on site.
• Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and routine maintenance.
• Expose utilities and perform excavation tasks as needed.
