Job summary

Sanders Brothers Construction is seeking a Hydrovac Operator-HO0826 to expose underground utilities using vacuum/hydrovac equipment. Youll support water, sewer, and storm drain projects across the low country region, working within a collaborative construction team.

The role emphasizes detail orientation and safety, offering overtime, benefits, and development opportunities within our utilities and construction divisions. CDL is required, with local and occasional overnight travel.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B CDL required.
• Experience operating vacuum excavation or hydrovac equipment preferred.
• Experience with manual transmission trucks preferred.
• OSHA 10, CPR/First Aid, and Fall Protection certifications are a plus.
• Ability to travel locally and overnight occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Operate vacuum excavation/hydrovac equipment to safely expose underground utilities.
• Assist crews with water, sewer, and storm drain installation projects.
• Drive and position vacuum excavation trucks as required.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance.
• Prepare work areas by establishing proper safety controls and identifying hazards.
• Participate in daily safety briefings and toolbox meetings.
• Complete company, regulatory, and project documentation accurately.

Sanders Brothers Construction is looking for motivated individuals to support our underground vac/cam operations. In this role, you’ll use specialized excavation equipment to safely expose underground utilities, support water, sewer, and storm drainage projects, and contribute to essential infrastructure work throughout the low country region.

• Operating vacuum excavation or hydrovac equipment to safely expose underground utilities
• Assisting crews with water, sewer, and storm drain installation projects
• Driving and positioning vacuum excavation trucks when required
• Performing daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance
• Preparing work areas by establishing proper safety controls and identifying hazards
• Participating in daily safety briefings and toolbox meetings
• Completing required company, regulatory, and project documentation accurately
