Job summary

NG Companies is seeking a Hydrovac Operator to operate a hydrovac truck and equipment for excavating underground utilities, pipelines, and other structures. The role requires experience with hydrovac operations and adherence to safety regulations, with travel and flexible hours including nights and weekends.

The position involves driving to job sites, performing pre-/post-trip inspections, maintaining equipment, and completing required paperwork in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Must have Class B CDL with Airbrake and Tanker Endorsement.
• Pre-employment physical required.
• Background check and safety performance verification required.
• Pre-employment drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Drive to assigned job sites to excavate, load, dig, break rocks or debris, dirt, or other materials.
• Operate hydrovac equipment to excavate underground utility lines, pipelines, and other structures.
• Operate NG Company equipment in a safe and professional manner.
• Complete paperwork required by law and company policies accurately and promptly.
• Maintain hydrovac truck and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Assist in cleaning operations to maximize hydrovac capacity.
• Monitor and maintain water levels in the hydrovac tank.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
• Communicate with team members to ensure efficient operations.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on the hydrovac truck and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions.
• Maintain a clean and organized job site.
• Attend training sessions and safety meetings as needed.
