Description

You are an experienced Hydrovac Operator seeking a competitive wage, extensive benefits, and a company that prioritizes safety. You have experience supporting utility maintenance and construction, including telecommunications, enabling you to safely daylight, trench, and dig around utilities.

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, and loaders to excavate, move, load, and grade earth, rock, gravel, or other materials during construction activities.
2. Conduct pre-trip/walk-around safety inspections, complete daily Field Level Hazard Assessments, and report any maintenance concerns.
3. Perform pre- and post-trip inspections following company policies, and ensure Hydro Vac equipment is clean and operational.
4. Perform daylighting and soft excavating for telecom, hydro, and gas projects.
5. Prioritize health and safety by following policies and acting safely at all times.
6. Complete all required paperwork daily.
7. Set up and inspect grounding and bonding procedures for Hydrovac operations.

Qualifications:

1. Ability to work in confined spaces.
2. Handle and distribute construction materials, load and unload supplies, and remove debris from work sites.
3. Experience operating a Hydrovac is required.
4. Valid Class A or B CDL with Tanker and Airbrake endorsements.
5. Maintain a clean driver’s abstract.
6. Ability to drive a manual transmission.
7. Previous telecommunications experience is an asset.
8. Successful completion of pre-employment requirements.
9. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Compensation:

$19.00 - $35.00 Hourly. The exact pay will depend on experience, knowledge, skills, education, and location.
