Job summary

Hunt Electric, Inc. in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a full-time Hydrovac Truck Operator to join our Civil Construction/Infrastructure Department. You will run, maintain, and apply knowledge of the Vac Truck while working around underground utilities and determining utility depths.

Responsibilities include operating the equipment in live utility areas, performing inspections, and coordinating with the shop for repairs. A CDL A and strong safety mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of experience operating vacuum trucks (or similar equipment).
• Previous hydro-vac, trucking, vacuum truck, or other related industry experience preferred
• Experience in a labor-intensive position and working outside in all types of weather conditions.
• Clean driving record.

As aHydrovac Truck Operator, you are responsible forrunning, maintenance, and overall knowledge of the Vac Truck. You would be working in andaround underground utilitiesand be required tounderstand and determine utility depth.

• General knowledge of construction practices and familiarity with the equipment.
• Must perform pre and post-trip inspection on the vehicle and turn in any issues to the shop for repair.
• Familiarity with Blue Stakes and the identification of marked utilities.
• Ability to work long hours.
• Assist other skilled labor when necessary.
• Perform site clean-up.

• Actively contributes to a positive team environment.
• Demonstrates dependability with regular attendance and compliance to scheduled work hours.
• Demonstrate an aptitude for learning, goal-oriented mindset for continual growth, with a "Can-Do" positive attitude.
• Other duties or locations as assigned by Manager.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position with a typical working schedule of Mon - Thurs 7:00am -4:30pm and Friday 7:00am - 2:00pm.
