Job summary

Midstream Valve Partners in Tomball, TX is seeking a Hydrotesting Technician to safely perform hydrostatic, pneumatic, and functional tests on valves and actuators, ensuring conformance to specs and MVP quality. You will document results, identify deficiencies, support production, and contribute to continuous improvement in safety, quality, and efficiency.

Candidates with mechanical aptitude and experience reading drawings and handling pressurized systems are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

1+ years of hydrotesting experience preferred.
3+ years in valve repair, valve assembly, industrial maintenance, manufacturing or related mechanical work.
Experience with industrial valves, actuators, pumps, pressure vessels, or rotating equipment preferred.
Experience reading engineering drawings, P&IDs, or mechanical schematics preferred.
Forklift/Crane experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform hydrostatic, pneumatic, shell, seat, and functional testing of valves and actuators.
Set up valves, fixtures, hoses, gauges, and testing equipment.
Verify test pressures, hold times, and criteria per specs and standards.
Identify leaks, failures, or deficiencies during testing.
Troubleshoot issues and communicate with supervisors and QA/QC.
Assist with valve assembly and disassembly.
Support inspection, cleaning, tagging, painting, packing, and shipping prep.
Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and material handling equipment safely.
Maintain clean, organized work areas following 5S principles.
Document testing results and reports.
