Job summary

US Army Corps of Engineers seeks personnel to support dredging and hydrographic survey operations, coordinating and monitoring dredging activities and providing corrective actions as needed. The role includes assisting with reconnaissance and condition surveys of District waterways, with emphasis on Lock and Dam structures.

Candidate will read and interpret contract plans to ensure compliance with standards and safety procedures during field operations.

Qualifications

• Specialized experience in hydrographic surveying or related fieldwork.
• Experience coordinating and supporting dredging operations.
• Ability to troubleshoot surveying instruments and maintain equipment.
• Knowledge of safety procedures related to field surveying and dredge operations.

Responsibilities

• Supports all dredging and hydrographic survey operations.
• Coordinates and/or monitors dredging operations.
• Provides corrective actions when necessary.
• Assists with reconnaissance and condition surveys of District waterways, especially Lock and Dam structures.
