Job summary

NewRange Copper Nickel in Hoyt Lakes, MN seeks a Hydrogeologist to provide groundwater and surface water management expertise for mining projects, supporting study development, project execution, and field investigations.

You will develop water management strategies, calibrate models, contribute to risk assessments, and ensure regulatory alignment while collaborating with engineering, geology, and environmental teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Civil Engineering, or related.
• Minimum 5 years of hydrogeology experience.
• Experience with groundwater and surface water systems.
• Familiarity with hydrogeologic modeling techniques.
• Knowledge of mining regulatory frameworks.
• Experience in preparing/reviewing technical reports.
• Professional designation in Minnesota (P.G./P.E.) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform hydrogeologic assessments to support studies.
• Compile and interpret hydrogeologic data.
• Support development of hydrogeologic/hydrologic models.
• Assist in water management planning.
• Support regulatory compliance and reporting.
