Job summary

Solvay in Longview, WA is seeking an Operator. You will rotate through Unit Lab, Shipping, Outside, and DCS after a 3-year qualification period, on a rotating 4-on/4-off schedule with 12-hour Days/Nights shifts.

Base pay starts at $35.32/hour with potential to $54.79/hour within three years, plus a comprehensive rewards package including healthcare and parenting leave. Onsite, at-will employment with flexible work arrangements may apply.

Qualifications

• Safely operate in a manufacturing environment and follow Solvay Life Saving Rules.
• Comply with DOT regulations and Process Safety Management (PSM) requirements.
• On-time production and shipment while meeting customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Collect process samples and run lab analyses on samples.
• Assess need for process changes based on results and document actions.
• Follow railcar and trailer loading/unloading schedules and orders.
• Monitor field equipment via inspection, instrumentation, and readings.
• Perform administrative duties: checklists, lockouts, paperwork.
• Monitor chemical production through a Distributive Control System (DCS).
