Air Products is seeking a safety-conscious Operations Technician to join our Wilmington, CA hydrogen plant team. You will work with Mechanical Technicians, Instruments Technicians, other Operations Technicians, and Process Engineers to safely operate and maintain the Hydrogen Plants, including SMR units and cryogenic systems.

This is a safety-sensitive role; you may pursue a City of Los Angeles Steam Engineer license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• 2 years plant process experience or a Process Technology degree/certification.
• Strong commitment to safety and ability to work rotating shifts.
• Ability to climb ladders and lift up to 50 lbs; exposed to high noise levels.
• Read and interpret piping diagrams and follow written procedures.
• Experience with water chemistry testing and lockout/tagout procedures.

Responsabilités

• Monitor and control hydrogen production, SMR operation, and related equipment.
• Collaborate with maintenance and process engineers for safe plant operations.
• Issue safe work permits and follow Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Perform equipment inspections and calibrations; assist in repairs.
• Interface with pipeline customers and document procedures and audits.
