Qualifications

• Valid CDL required.
• Experience with hydro vac or vacuum excavation.
• Knowledge of underground utility locating.
• Strong safety focus and situational awareness.
• Able to work outdoors in varying weather.
• Physically able to lift, bend and stand for extended periods.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate hydro excavation equipment safely and efficiently on active job sites.
• Perform non-destructive excavation using high-pressure water and vacuum.
• Expose underground utilities with precision and care.
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of hydro vac trucks and equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned equipment and work areas.
• Follow Nexus safety policies, client safety requirements, and DOT regulations.
• Communicate clearly with foremen, project managers, and crew members regarding site conditions and progress.
• Assist with site setup, traffic control, and job site safety measures as needed.
• Complete required documentation including job logs, safety checklists, and inspection reports.
• Support other field activities as assigned to ensure project success.
