Job summary

ANDRITZ Hydropower North America is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to develop site installation procedures for disassembly, refurbishment and reassembly of turbine components. You will define quality requirements, support alignment of critical components and resolve installation issues.

Travel may be required to install and commission equipment, review designs and interface with clients. A PE license is preferred for this role in a dynamic hydropower environment in North America.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
3+ years experience in mechanical design of heavy industrial components.
P.E. license preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop site installation procedures for disassembly, refurbishment and reassembly of components.
Develop quality requirements for installation of components, including site inspection and test plans and engineering data record sheets.
Support unit alignment and assembly of critical components.
Resolve installation issues related to projects.
Review contractual specifications, designs and technical documentation.
Interface with clients regarding installation matters.
Assist the Sales Department in the bid for installation issues.
Provide assistance to Project Management in installation tasks related to the refurbishment of hydro-turbines and related equipment.
