Job summary

American StaffCorp is seeking a Hydro Testing Helper to support the hydrotesting department in an industrial setting. Work Monday through Friday, 5pm–3:30am with overtime on Saturdays, and assist with hydro tests on air cooler units and headers.

You will connect hoses and gauges, monitor pressure, and inspect for leaks while handling parts and tooling safely. A high school diploma or GED is required, with emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand for long shifts and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Experience with basic hand tools and mechanical equipment is preferred.
• Willingness to follow strict plant safety standards for high-pressure testing.
• High school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hydro testing: set up and execute hydrostatic pressure tests on air cooler units, coils, and headers.
• Connect and secure water hoses, pressure gauges, valves, and test fittings safely.
• Monitor equipment and pressure levels; inspect welds, tubes, and components for leaks or defects.
• Move parts, tools, and finished assemblies around the shop floor using manual or mechanical lifting equipment.
• Safely use hand tools and portable power tools to prep units or tighten fittings.
• Maintain a clean, dry, and organized workspace while following plant safety rules.

Monday - Friday 5pm - 3:30am + additional Overtime on Saturdays Air Cooler Hydro Helper works in industrial manufacturing settings (such as air cooler and heat exchanger fabrication plants) to support the hydrostatic (hydro) testing department. They assist with pressure-testing industrial coils and units to ensure structural integrity and check for leaks before final delivery

Core Job Duties

• Assist with Hydro Testing: Help set up and execute hydrostatic pressure tests on industrial air cooler units, coils, and headers.
• Equipment Hookup: Connect and secure water hoses, pressure gauges, valves, and test fittings safely.
• Monitor and Inspect: Watch equipment and pressure levels closely during testing; inspect welds, tubes, and components for water leaks or defects.
• Material Handling: Move parts, tools, and finished assemblies around the shop floor using manual or mechanical lifting equipment.
• Tool Operation: Safely use hand tools and portable power tools to prep units or tighten fittings.
• Safety & Cleanup: Maintain a clean, dry, and organized work space while adhering strictly to plant safety rules and pressure-testing protocols.
