Job summary

Pacific Gas and Electric Company seeks a Hybrid Field Inspector in the Energy Delivery Hydroelectric Generation group to perform field inspections and ensure safety and quality of construction activities.

The role requires travel across PG&E's service territory and collaboration with project teams and contractors to verify compliance with plans, specs and regulatory requirements.

Hourly compensation ranges from $48.07 to $81.25, with eligibility for discretionary incentive programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• California Class C driver’s license.
• 6 years of journeyman or equivalent experience in construction

Responsibilities

• Performs field inspection services on complex, fluid and/or longer duration work activities for both internal and contractor-performed jobs within PG&E Hydroelectric Generation System.
• Verifies and enforces PG&E contractor safety standards and oversight procedures at the jobsite.
• Conducts worksite safety orientations, tailboards and JSA development/review to address hazards and mitigations.
• Collaborates with corporate safety, project management, engineering, construction or O&M personnel to coordinate corrective actions.
• Provides oversight on air quality monitoring and abatement to ensure environmental compliance.
• Reviews contracts and ensures scope, specs, changes and LM&E documentation are in order.

Education

High school diploma or GED or equivalent

California Class C driver’s license

6 years of journeymen or equivalent experience in construction
