Job summary

Georgia Power seeks a highly skilled Electrician Operator (EO) to operate and maintain hydroelectric generating plants in the Chattahoochee Hydro Group, Columbus, GA area. The EO performs duties similar to a Journeyman Electrician and a B Operator, ensuring safe, efficient plant operation.

The role requires evaluating equipment conditions, performing rounds, and writing condition reports. Candidates should have a HS diploma or equivalent, plus a technical degree or military training;

Qualifications

• Power generation experience is desired; hydroelectric generation experience is a plus.
• Industrial maintenance and troubleshooting experience desired.
• Experience in industrial electrical or certified training desired.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, troubleshoot, and repair plant electrical equipment.
• Maintain plant maintenance records in Maximo or similar CMMS.
• Perform thorough operator rounds and evaluate equipment conditions.
• Write condition reports for noted deficiencies.
