Job summary

Global Connect Technologies in Peoria, IL is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the development, manufacturing, sourcing and supplier engineering of mechanical components. • Review engineering drawings, specifications, component requirements, and supplier designs.
• Support projects from requirements and design through manufacturing, testing, validation, and implementation.
• Analyze engineering and business data and communicate risks, findings, and opportunities to stakeholders.
• Support NPI, supplier development, cost reduction, and continuous improvement projects.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering, or related technical field.
• 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience working with suppliers, sourcing, supply chain, or procurement teams.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical component manufacturing processes.
• Experience in product/component development and cross-functional engineering projects.
• Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with global suppliers.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems/components, especially hydraulic cylinders.
• Creo/CAD and engineering drawing experience.
• Experience with NPI, value engineering, and product cost reduction.
• Experience working with supplier-designed components.
