Job summary

S& K Technologies, Inc. is seeking an experienced Hydraulics - Aircraft Mechanic Level II to perform KC-135 aircraft maintenance at Fairchild AFB, WA, with potential TDY support. You will work on hydraulic, pneumatic, flight control, landing gear, and related systems, documenting actions and following technical orders.

Requirements include a minimum of three years of aircraft maintenance and knowledge of aircraft manuals and schematics. An A&P certificate is preferred but not required; U.S.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of aircraft maintenance experience on a wide-body platform; KC-135 preferred.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, flight controls, landing gear, and related systems.
• Ability to interpret technical orders, manuals, drawings, and schematics.
• A&P certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform hydraulic, pneumatic, flight control, landing gear, brake, and related systems maintenance and documentation.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, replace, and service hydraulic components and systems.
• Support scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, pre/post/through-flight tasks as assigned.
• Apply technical orders and data; use approved tools and test equipment.
• Document actions in approved forms and logs; provide guidance or training as needed.

Hydraulics - Aircraft Mechanic Level II

The Hydraulics - Aircraft Mechanic Level II – Hydraulics performs KC-135 aircraft maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, modification, and documentation in support of organizational/intermediate/depot-level maintenance requirements at Fairchild AFB, WA with potential TDY support to other KC-135 locations as directed. The position specializes in aircraft hydraulic, pneumatic, flight control, landing gear, and related mechanical systems.

A sample of the duties include, but are not limited to:

• Perform KC-135 hydraulic, pneumatic, flight control, landing gear, brake, and related aircraft systems maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, repair, and documentation.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, replace, service, bleed, rig, and operationally check hydraulic and pneudraulic components and systems.
• Support scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, pre-flight, thru-flight, post-flight, and inspection-related tasks as assigned.
• Interpret and apply technical orders, maintenance manuals, drawings, schematics, work instructions, and other approved technical data.
• Use aircraft maintenance tools, test equipment, pressure servicing equipment, torque wrenches, measuring devices, and other approved equipment as required.
• Document maintenance actions in approved aircraft forms, records, logs, and Government maintenance systems.
• Support aircraft launch, recovery, servicing, and general flightline maintenance tasks as required.
• Comply with Tool Control, FOD prevention, safety, quality, security, and local operating requirements.
• Provide technical guidance or on-the-job training to less experienced mechanics as directed.
• Support TDY maintenance operations at other KC-135 locations as required.

Experience

• Minimum of three (3) years of aircraft maintenance experience on an Air Force wide-body platform, preferably KC-135, or equivalent experience is required.
• Aircraft hydraulics, pneumatics, flight controls, landing gear, brake systems, servicing, troubleshooting, repair, and operational check experience is required.
• Experience using aircraft technical orders, maintenance manuals, system schematics, and aircraft maintenance documentation is required.
• A&P certification is preferred but not required.

Licenses and Certifications

• Must have a valid state driver’s license when required by job assignment.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must possess and maintain a current Secret security clearance.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain base access, Common Access Card, and required Government system access.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid U.S. passport and any required visas or travel documentation for CONUS/OCONUS TDY travel, as required by the contract or task order.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a flightline driver’s license if required.
• Must obtain all certifications and training required to perform assigned duties.
