Overview

CIMA Aviation is seeking a skilled and motivated Hydraulic Tester/Technician with strong mechanical aptitude, a desire to learn, and a passion for aviation repair. As part of our growing team, you will work hands‑on with a wide range of aircraft hydraulic components, using precision tools and specialized hydraulic test equipment to perform inspections, repairs, and functional testing in accordance with OEM, FAA, and customer specifications.

Job Responsibilities
  • Operate hydraulic test stands to conduct pressure, flow, and leakage testing, including relief valve calibration.
  • Perform functional and performance testing per CMM requirements.
  • Ensure all work complies with FAA/EASA regulations and industry standards.
  • Diagnose hydraulic system failures using test equipment, inspection methods, and technical documentation.
  • Identify performance issues, contamination, wear patterns, and component malfunctions with precision and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams when addressing complex technical challenges.
  • Follow written procedures and technical manuals accurately and consistently.
  • Maintain complete and accurate repair records, test data, and documentation in compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
  • Maintain excellent attention to detail in all aspects of component repair and testing.
Component Repair & Overhaul
  • Inspect, repair, and overhaul a variety of hydraulic components.
  • Disassemble components, perform dimensional inspections, replace seals and worn parts, and reassemble units to OEM specifications.
Requirements
  • Ability to pass pre‑employment and random drug/alcohol screenings and a basic background check.
  • 2+ years of related mechanical experience (aviation, automotive, marine, electronics, industrial equipment, or similar fields considered).
  • Must own a basic set of personal hand tools.
  • Ability to read and follow detailed instructions, written procedures, technical drawings, blueprints, and OEM manuals.
  • Strong mechanical skills, diagnostic ability, and problem‑solving capability.
  • Excellent English communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing).
  • Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, organized, punctual, and reliable.
  • Valid driver's license.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to walk up stairs and move throughout the repair facility.
  • Manual dexterity to handle small and medium‑sized components while operating tools simultaneously.
  • Frequent use of hand tools, test equipment, and precision instruments.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Use of chemicals for cleaning, lubricating, and painting parts (with appropriate safety equipment).
