Job Description

Overview of the Position:


The Test technician will be responsible for testing and evaluating incoming assemblies (Spool and Sleeve Assemblies), determining the extent of necessary repairs and ability to repair and complete final testing of lap assemblies. The technician will need to be familiar with flow grinding parts, using grinding tools for modifying laps and final testing.






Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Measure flows, leakage, and force; record results accurately.

  • Lap fit and adjust clearance, hone to specifications, and measure clearances using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring devices.

  • Follow instructions, assemble parts, and work with O-rings and seals properly.

  • Communicate effectively, pay attention to detail, and troubleshoot issues.

  • Coordinate with managers, engineering, and other employees professionally.

  • Take initiative to improve processes.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education / Experience: High School Diploma or GED and 1-3 years relevant experience.
