Job Description

Overview of the Position:

The Technician III will perform aircraft component repair processes, following approved documentation, PHS/MWA procedures, and FAA regulations. Demonstrates high proficiency, adaptability, and the ability to learn outside core competencies. Works independently with guidance, and may mentor less experienced colleagues. Has the authority to perform assigned tasks.


Hourly wage range: $19 - $26


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform and document parts maintenance, including disassembly, cleaning, inspections, work order evaluation, parts ordering, repairs, and testing, following documentation and procedures.
  • Train and instruct others in areas of expertise.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Record training activities and proficiency achievements.
  • Follow safety and employee policies.
  • Request necessary consumables or tooling proactively.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 2-5 years as a technician or equivalent experience; positive attitude; willingness to share knowledge; versatile across product lines; qualified for Repairman certificate if applicable.
  • Interpersonal skills focused on conflict resolution and openness.
  • Planning and organization skills; ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Meet productivity standards; work efficiently and quickly.
  • Observe safety procedures; identify unsafe conditions; use equipment properly.
  • Adaptability to changing work environments.
  • Dependability in following instructions, taking responsibility, and completing tasks.
  • Capable of safely using tools like screwdrivers, wrenches, multimeters, etc., and instructing others in their use.
  • Apply common sense to instructions; solve problems involving multiple variables.
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and ERP systems.

Requirements

Education / Experience: High school diploma or GED; technical courses or associate degree preferred; 2-4 years related experience or training.

Qualifications:

Ability to interpret regulations, manuals, and drawings; communicate effectively in English; perform basic math; apply common sense; work physically in various positions; and use PPE properly.

Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, and work in moderate noise environments.

Willingness to work overtime as needed.
