Job summary

SunSource is seeking a Hydraulic Systems Engineer to design and support custom hydraulic solutions for industrial and mobile equipment, while working hands-on with customers and sales teams.

You will design hydraulic systems and power units from concept through implementation, partner with customers to gather data, troubleshoot field challenges to reduce downtime, and collaborate with account managers to drive long-term success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-year technical degree (Fluid Power preferred); B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering a plus.
• Experience designing hydraulic systems for industrial/mobile equipment.
• Strong knowledge of fluid power principles and system design.
• Willingness to travel to support customers and sales teams throughout WA, OR, UT, ID.

Responsibilities

• Design innovative hydraulic systems for industrial and mobile equipment applications.
• Engineer power units and complete hydraulic systems from concept through implementation.
• Partner directly with customers to understand applications, gather data, and confirm designs.
• Troubleshoot challenges in the field and develop proactive solutions to reduce warranty claims, maintenance issues, and downtime.
• Collaborate with Account Managers to support customers and drive long-term success.
• Apply creativity and technical expertise to deliver cost-effective, high-performance solutions.
• Build a long-term career in the fluid power industry, working with cutting-edge applications.
