Job summary

SunSource is hiring a Technical Specialist - Hydraulic Systems Designer to design and support custom hydraulic solutions for industrial and mobile equipment. You will collaborate with customers and sales teams, from concept through implementation, and troubleshoot field challenges to minimize downtime.

The role requires a 2-year technical degree (Fluid Power preferred) and 2+ years of hydraulic design experience, with proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree (Fluid Power preferred); B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is a plus.
• 2+ years of hydraulic systems design experience for industrial or mobile equipment.
• Ability to travel and work with customers across multiple states.

Responsibilities

• Design innovative hydraulic systems for industrial and mobile equipment.
• Engineer power units and complete hydraulic systems from concept through implementation.
• Collaborate with customers to understand applications, gather data, and confirm designs.
• Troubleshoot field challenges and develop proactive solutions to reduce downtime and warranty costs.
• Coordinate with Account Managers to support customers and drive long-term success.
• Apply creative and technical expertise to deliver cost-effective, high-performance solutions.
