Job summary

Aerotek in Albuquerque, NM seeks a Hydraulic Assembler to build and install hydraulic components on heavy equipment in a production setting. You will use drills, taps, punches, and hydraulic plumbing while following blueprints and schematics for quality assemblies.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, 3+ years of assembly experience, and proficiency with low-voltage wiring. This is a contract‑to‑hire, fully onsite position offering competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Three or more years assembling heavy machinery or similar equipment.
• Ability to lay out, terminate, and connect wiring and hydraulic plumbing per schematics.
• Strong reading of drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Experience with low-voltage wiring in industrial settings.
• Capable of using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Proven production experience with attention to detail and safety.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components on heavy equipment.
• Perform drilling, punching, tapping, machining and related fabrication tasks.
• Lay out and connect wiring and hydraulic plumbing per schematics.
• Install equipment using hand and power tools and check alignment.
• Test completed assemblies and make repairs as needed.
• Read drawings and follow safety and maintenance instructions.
• Take precise measurements using tapes and layout tools.
• Collaborate with engineering, fabrication and stores teams.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and follow safety rules.
