Job summary

The Planet Group is seeking a Hydraulic Modeling Engineer to support planning, design, and analysis of water distribution systems. The role focuses on hydraulic modeling, water infrastructure planning, and utility system improvements in a hybrid work setup across Nashville, Columbus, and Louisville.

Requirements include 2–5 years of experience, ABET-accredited education, and knowledge of InfoWater/WaterGEMS/EPANET.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in hydraulic engineering or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in environmental, civil, or mechanical engineering from an ABET-accredited U.S. program.
• EIT is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and calibrate hydraulic models for water distribution systems.
• Assist in master planning and design projects.
• Perform booster station analyses for capacity, reliability, and energy efficiency.
• Develop future water demand projections.
• Design and deliver digital tools and dashboards.
• Prepare clear technical reports and presentations.
• Fieldwork and site visits may be required.
