Job summary

Global Connect Technologies in East Peoria, IL seeks a Cooling, Systems Integration & Hydraulics Engineer to support cooling, thermal management, hydraulic and auxiliary systems for defense powertrain applications.

You will design, simulate, and integrate components, create CAD models, and collaborate across engineering teams to ensure robust packaging and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Mechanical, Automotive, or related field.
• 3–8 years in cooling, hydraulics, vehicle integration, or powertrain systems.
• Strong knowledge of thermal management and hydraulic systems.
• Experience with CAD/PLM software and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Design and integrate cooling and hydraulic systems for defense powertrain applications.
• Develop thermal management solutions including radiators, oil coolers, pumps, fans, and heat exchangers.
• Design hydraulic systems with pumps, valves, actuators, reservoirs, filters, hoses, and tubing.
• Perform system integration, packaging and interface studies.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models, assemblies, drawings, and BOMs.
• Support prototype builds, vehicle integration, testing and validation.
• Participate in ECR/ECO and configuration management.
• Resolve engineering issues and implement design improvements.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Cooling, Systems Integration & Hydraulics Engineer to support cooling, thermal management, hydraulic, and auxiliary systems for defense powertrain applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and integrate cooling and hydraulic systems.
• Develop thermal management solutions involving radiators, charge air coolers, oil coolers, pumps, fans, and heat exchangers.
• Design hydraulic systems including pumps, valves, actuators, reservoirs, filters, hoses, and tubing.
• Perform system integration, packaging, and interface studies.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models, assemblies, drawings, and BOMs.
• Support prototype builds, vehicle integration, testing, validation, and troubleshooting.
• Participate in ECR/ECO and configuration management.
• Resolve engineering issues and implement design improvements.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Agricultural Engineering, or related field.
• 3–8 years of experience in cooling, hydraulics, vehicle integration, or powertrain systems.
• Strong knowledge of thermal management and hydraulic systems.
• Experience with Creo, CATIA, Siemens NX, or equivalent CAD software.
• Knowledge of GD&T, vehicle packaging, DFM/DFA, and engineering drawings.
• Experience with BOMs, ECR/ECO, and PLM systems.
• Heavy equipment, off-highway, defense, military, construction, mining, or agricultural experience preferred.
