Job summary

ManpowerGroup Global Inc. is seeking a Welder to join a fast-paced production team in Knoxville, TN. You will weld hydraulic cylinders and attachments to drawing specifications, using MIG/TIG/robotic techniques, and perform quality checks with standard gauges.

Ideal candidates will have MIG welding experience, the ability to read weld symbols, and a commitment to safety and Six Sigma/Five S standards in a steel-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• At least one year MIG welding experience or training.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and weld symbols.
• Commitment to safety practices and Five S standards.

Responsibilities

• Weld hydraulic cylinders and attachments per drawings using MIG/TIG/Robotic welding techniques.
• Join base plates, cross tubes, port blocks, and rod ends to cylinder tubes and rods.
• Weld attachments to cylinders as specified by drawings and weld symbols.
• Interpret drawings, select proper weld settings, operate equipment safely.
• Use calipers, micrometers, gauges for quality checks and maintain equipment.
