Job summary

Amtec Contract is seeking a detail-oriented Hydraulic Assembly & Test Technician to join our production team. You will assemble, build, and test precision hydraulic components according to blueprints and ATPs, ensuring quality and repeatable results.

The role requires hands-on hydraulic experience, the ability to read gauges and blueprints, and careful use of fixtures and tools. Expect a 4‑day workweek and opportunities for hands-on growth in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of hands-on hydraulic assembly and testing experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret hydraulic concepts.
• High School Diploma or GED required; Hydraulic Principles certification a plus.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assemble hydraulic components and build assemblies per blueprints.
• Perform ATP testing, set up test stands, log data.
• Swage, torque sealing, lock‑wiring, and micro-laser welding tasks.
• Troubleshoot test failures and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain clean workstation and safely handle tools and chemicals.

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Hydraulic Assembly & Test Technician to join our production team. In this role, you will assemble, build, and test precision hydraulic components according to engineering blueprints and Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP).

If you have hands‑on experience with hydraulic systems, reading pressure gauges, and fine mechanical assembly, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

• Assembly & Fabrication: Build hydraulic assemblies using arbor presses, micro‑drills, lathes, and specialized fixtures.
• Testing & Data Logging: Perform ATP testing, set up test stands, read pressure/flow meters, and accurately record test data.
• Precision Finishing: Perform swaging (37° and 45° conical), torque sealing, lock‑wiring, and micro‑laser welding.
• Troubleshooting: Identify causes for test failures, rework rejected parts, and suggest corrective actions.
• Quality & Safety: Read technical blueprints, maintain a clean workstation, and safely handle tools and cleaning chemicals.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of hands‑on hydraulic assembly and testing experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, understand basic hydraulic concepts, and use measuring devices/gauges.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certification in Hydraulic Principles is a big plus!
• Ability to stand, handle small parts, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs in a shop environment.
