Hydraquip Electric Systems - Sales Engineer

Hydraquip is seeking a Sales Engineer to support the growth of its Electric Systems division. The role involves working closely with customers to understand their needs, providing technical expertise, and delivering tailored solutions for electric drivetrain and generation systems. The position requires identifying new markets, building relationships across Hydraquip's divisions, and developing sales strategies.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Client Engagement: Building relationships with customers, understanding their system needs related to electric and hybrid electric drivetrain systems, control systems, hydraulic, and power generation systems.
  2. Technical Consultation: Providing technical guidance to assist in designing, installing, and implementing electric and electrohydraulic systems.
  3. Order Management: Handling order entry, project management, and tracking using P21 ERP system.
  4. Sales Strategy and Product Knowledge: Developing sales strategies, staying updated on industry trends, and promoting new system solutions.
  5. Proposal and Negotiation: Preparing quotations, negotiating contracts, and closing deals.
  6. Sales Reporting and Market Analysis: Maintaining sales records and monitoring market trends to identify growth opportunities.

Requirements include a technical degree (BSEE, BSME, BAEET or equivalent), PLC training, and 1-3 years of experience in power systems and customer support roles. Knowledge of power systems, PLC programming, and electrical schematics is essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment are required.
