Zurich North America is hiring a Workers' Compensation Defense Trial Attorney or Senior Trial Attorney in Irvine, CA, hybrid model with one in-office day weekly. The role involves handling all phases of WC litigation, coordinating with claims professionals, and mentoring others for the senior level.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor required and licensed to practice in California.
• Minimum 5 years of litigation experience for Trial Attorney level; 7+ years for Senior Trial Attorney.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe products; familiarity with Lexis/Westlaw or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of the insurance industry, claims environment, and insurance defense litigation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Handle all phases of Workers' Compensation litigation from evaluation to resolution.
• Develop case strategy with claims professionals and manage discovery.
• Negotiate settlements and appear at hearings on behalf of clients.
• Mentor junior attorneys and provide guidance on complex matters (Senior level).
