Job summary

Sedgwick is hiring a Claims Examiner - Workers’ Compensation in a hybrid role based in Ontario, CA. You will analyze workers’ compensation claims for clients, determine benefits due, and adjudicate claims within service standards.

You will negotiate settlements, communicate with claimants and clients, and leverage Sedgwick’s global resources for best practices. CA workers’ comp experience and a commitment to service are valued.

Qualifications

• 5 years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; High School Diploma or GED required.
• Professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing and processing claims through action plans to timely resolution.
• Negotiating settlement of claims within designated authority.
• Communicating claim activity and processing with the claimant and the client.
• Reporting claims to the excess carrier and responding to directions professionally.
