Job summary

Zenith Insurance Company is seeking a Claims Professional in California to investigate, analyze, and determine the extent of the company’s liability and to settle with claimants. You will work with medical specialists, agents, and witnesses to gather information and calculate benefit payments within authority.

You will manage reserves, perform required investigations, and communicate with injured workers and employers to develop credibility and ensure accurate, timely settlements.

Qualifications

• Basic technical workers’ compensation claims knowledge.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong math and reading skills.
• Meets all state regulatory standards regarding licensing and education.

Responsibilities

• Open new claims and perform investigations to determine compensability and potential subrogation.
• Set reserves according to company timelines and guidelines.
• Negotiate settlements within authority and provide settlement evaluations.
• Maintain contact with injured workers, employers and agents to build credibility.
• Prepare detailed documentation to ensure data integrity.
