Qualifications
At least 2+ years of Workers' Compensation adjuster experience.
Knowledge of common software programs such as Microsoft Office and Excel.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
Investigate claims to determine compensability, coverage, and exposure.
Establish, monitor, and adjust reserves; authorize or deny payments.
Review new claims within required timeframes (1–2 business days).
Maintain accurate claim files, notes, coding, and diary management.
Communicate claim status clearly and timely with clients, claimants, insureds, and partners.
Draft and issue coverage correspondence.
Identify and pursue subrogation opportunities.
Manage vendor selection and control claim‑related costs.
Negotiate settlements when appropriate.
Collaborate with management, defense counsel, and nurse case management on complex claims.
Ensure compliance with Medicare requirements.
Handle claims across multiple jurisdictions.
