Job summary

Morgan Stanley Parametric, within the Morgan Stanley Investment Management family, is seeking an Analyst, Performance Attribution. You will deliver performance analytics for external distribution, collaborating across departments to ensure timely, accurate reporting and exceptional client service.

The role emphasizes hypothesis testing, data quality, and partnership with portfolio managers to develop insights across Parametric and MSIM product lines.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a quantitative field.
• 2+ years of industry experience.
• Thorough knowledge of traditional asset management and alternatives investments (derivatives, fixed income, cash equities, mutual funds, hedge funds, private equity).
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and attribution theory.
• Asset management performance calculation knowledge.
• Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with data tools (FactSet, Bloomberg, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly, monthly, and ad hoc performance attribution analysis for institutional and/or wealth management clients and marketing materials.
• Coordinate commentary with portfolio managers.
• Perform detailed peer review of deliverables.
• Manage timely and accurate delivery of all requests.
• Investigate portfolio specific inquiries.
• Develop knowledge of Parametric products and strategies.
