Job summary

Hiebing is seeking a curious WordPress Developer to build intelligent digital experiences and solve unfamiliar problems. You’ll focus on WordPress development while expanding into analytics tagging, email production and marketing integrations.

You’ll work in a collaborative team, traversing development, maintenance, troubleshooting and client-facing tasks. This hybrid role is based in Madison, WI with opportunities to grow into leading the WordPress practice.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of professional web development with WordPress theme work.
• Experience with Gutenberg block editor and theme customization.
• Proficient in HTML, CSS and JavaScript fundamentals.
• Working knowledge of PHP and WordPress development.
• Experience with WordPress themes, plugins, and common marketing-site integrations.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with Git-based workflows.
• Ability to work across multiple technical areas and learn independently.
• Curious about AI and emerging tech; collaborative.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance and maintain WordPress sites including block editor development.
• Troubleshoot plugin conflicts and integrations.
• Support website maintenance, landing pages, forms, migrations.
• Assist with analytics tagging using GTM and GA4, including QA.
• Support email development and production, including HTML emails.
• Implement marketing tech integrations and tools.
• Work within Git-based workflows and documentation.
• Collaborate with teams to deliver high-quality work.
• Maintain security, accessibility, performance and quality standards.
