The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign seeks a Visiting Research Scientist in ASC/ISEE to lead projects on agricultural hydrology and water quality. The role supports grant development, publications, and team education/outreach, with a flexible hybrid/remote work arrangement depending on unit needs.

Minimum qualifications include a PhD in a relevant field and postdoctoral experience; a US driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• PhD in hydrology, water resource management, agricultural and biological engineering, soil and plant sciences, ecosystem ecology, or physical geography.
• Two years of post-PhD experience related to agricultural hydrology, water quality, and agroecosystem monitoring and/or modeling.
• Valid US Driver's license.

Responsabilités

• Lead research on agricultural hydrology, water quality, and agroecosystem sustainability.
• Seek funding opportunities and assist grant proposal development.
• Publish research outputs in journals and conferences.
• Support team and project management, education, outreach, and extension activities.
