Job summary

Zirous, an established IT and consulting company, is seeking a full-time UI/UX Designer for its VAEZR Studio. The role blends design mastery with cutting-edge innovation to deliver immersive, high‑impact experiences for XR and web applications.

The position is hybrid with on‑site days in Urbandale, IA, and work‑from‑home days on Monday and Friday. You will design and prototype modern UI features, manage layout and accessibility, collaborate with back‑end developers and project managers, and

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in graphic/visual/interaction design.
Strong command of the creative lifecycle from ideation to execution.
Proficiency in core design software (Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Procreate).
3+ years of visual design experience.
3-5 years of digital media experience.
Outstanding portfolio demonstrating typography, color theory, and visual storytelling.
Knowledge of the full application development process and collaboration with back-end developers and PMs.
Ability to create clear, professional designs prioritizing clarity and effective communication.
Strong creative and conceptualization skills to transform abstract concepts into engaging visuals.

Responsibilities

Serve as a full-time consultant on diverse projects across industries.
Manage layout, aesthetics, and presentation of interactive apps and web pages with accessibility in mind.
Develop and refine visual design elements for web-based experiences.
Design and prototype modern UI features.
Develop responsive and mobile-friendly layouts.
Collaborate with back-end developers to maximize usability.
Collect user and client feedback to create user-centered solutions.
Keep pace with new technologies and industry trends.
Collaborate with Project Managers to deliver flawless deployments.
