raSmith is seeking a Transportation Design Engineer to contribute to transportation planning and design projects across the Midwest, including Wisconsin and Illinois. You will develop plan sets, environmental documents, and cost estimates while coordinating with utilities and agencies.

Ideal candidates hold a BS in Civil Engineering, a Wisconsin PE or eligibility, 4–8 years of transportation design experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from a U.S. accredited college or university.
• Professional engineering license from the State of Wisconsin.
• 4-8 years of transportation design experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience with the WisDOT facilities development process is desirable.
• Applicable U.S. based work experience.

Responsabilités

• Assist with transportation planning and engineering studies on a variety of projects.
• Prepare environmental and design documentation including report writing.
• Work on automated highway design including plan preparation, quantity takeoffs, and construction cost estimating.
• Coordinate with utility companies and other agencies.
• Participate in public involvement activities.
• Other duties as assigned.
