Job summary

American Municipal Power, Inc. is seeking a Transmission Project Manager in Columbus, OH, to lead construction projects across the AMP footprint.

The role reports to the Director of Transmission Project Management and supports a hybrid work setup with on-site reporting in Columbus. The candidate should hold an Associate's degree (Bachelor's preferred) and have 3–5+ years of project management experience in construction, with strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• Must have 2-year Associate's degree or higher in a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of construction project management experience; 5 years preferred.
• Must be critical path oriented and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills are essential; must solve problems collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Execute transmission construction projects on time and within budget.
• Coordinate with AMPT Planning, Engineering, Operations and PM to develop and maintain transmission assets.
• Plan, execute, monitor, and close projects safely and efficiently.
• Develop and report on construction budgets, variances, and expenditures.
• Coordinate outage scheduling with Transmission Operations and ensure compliance with specs.
