Qualifications

• CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification preferred.
• Experience in Accounting Advisory, Technical Accounting, Transaction Advisory, or a closely related function.
• Strong background within banking, capital markets, financial services, or commodities-related environments.
• Deep knowledge of IFRS 9 and financial instruments accounting.
• Ability to interpret complex accounting guidance and apply it to real-world business transactions.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex accounting topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and build relationships across multiple business functions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical accounting guidance on new products, restructures, and complex transactions.
• Analyze and document accounting treatment for financial instruments and other complex business activities.
• Partner with front-office teams, finance professionals, and business stakeholders to identify accounting implications and commercially viable solutions.
• Evaluate new business proposals and assess accounting-related risks and impacts.
• Research, interpret, and apply relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate accounting judgments, conclusions, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Monitor emerging accounting developments and assess their impact on the business.
• Deliver accounting training and technical updates to internal stakeholders.
• Support audit reviews by preparing clear and defensible accounting analyses and documentation.
