Job summary

Old Republic Title is seeking a Title Searcher to join our Eastern Title Division in a hybrid role based in Dover, DE. You will research land records, identify title issues, and prepare comprehensive reports to support real estate transactions.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience in title searching or related fields, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and with a team. Hybrid work requires in-office presence at least three days per week.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in title searching, title examination, real estate, legal support, land records research, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive title searches using county land records, tax records, court records, and other public resources.
• Research deeds, mortgages, judgments, liens, probate records, easements, restrictions, UCC filings, and other recorded documents.
• Establish accurate chains of title and identify ownership discrepancies or title defects.
• Prepare thorough title search reports and supporting documentation for internal review.
• Collaborate with county offices, attorneys, lenders, surveyors, and internal team members to resolve questions and obtain necessary information.
• Maintain organized, accurate records while ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines and industry standards.
• Manage multiple searches simultaneously while delivering high-quality work within established deadlines.
