Job description

Description

Therapist (LCMHC, LCSW, or LMFT) — Winston-Salem, NC From $75,000/year | Full-time or Part-time | Hybrid

We're glad you found us.

Mood Treatment Center has been offering high-quality, accessible mental health care in the Triad since 2008, with locations in Winston-Salem and Greensboro and telehealth services available statewide. We are committed to care that treats the whole person — and we've put real thought into what it means to support the clinicians who do this work, because we know that's where good care begins.

We offer medication management, TMS, Spravato, and psychotherapy— often all under one roof. That means your patients have access to genuinely comprehensive care, and you get colleagues who bring real depth and range to our clinical community.

Who we're looking for

Stellar clinicians who are genuinely curious about people — not just their diagnoses. Someone who finds meaning in showing up consistently for a patient over time, in the ordinary sessions as much as the breakthroughs. You're fully licensed in North Carolina (LCMHC, LCSW, or LMFT) and ready to practice independently, but you don't want to do it alone. You instill hope and traction in your clinical work, and you're willing to learn from the hard cases. You like collaboration; you value good clinical conversation, and you'd appreciate a team that actually has your back.

What it's like to work here

We are a small group practice, and that's intentional. Our operations team works to keep the administrative side manageable so you can stay focused on your patients. When you need support, you will know who to ask and they will respond thoughtfully and promptly.

Here's what we offer:

  • Flexibility that's truly flexible — part-time fee-for-service, full-time fee-for-service with benefits, salary models that can be shaped around your schedule, and any blend of in-person and remote that works for your life.
  • A solid multidisciplinary team — you'll collaborate with fellow Therapists, PMHNPs, Physician Assistants and Psychiatrists. Co-treat with your colleagues in real time for more rewarding client outcomes.
  • Clinical leadership that is approachable and invested — our support team genuinely wants to help you do your best work. You'll have access to people who understand both the clinical and the operational side of practice.
  • Continuity with your patients — outpatient work means you get to walk alongside a variety of people over time, witnessing substantive change in your caseload.
  • A practice grounded in equity and inclusion — we are committed to affirming care for individuals of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences, and we want our team to reflect that same values commitment.

Your day-to-day role

You'll provide outpatient therapy to adults, adolescents, and/or children seeking quality care for their behavioral health goals. Your day will consist of completing clinical assessments, diagnosing, individualized treatment planning, timely progress notes, and regular collaboration within your broader care team. You'll keep your documentation current in our EMR, maintain your licensure, and show up as a thoughtful, engaged presence on the team — not just for your patients, but also for your colleagues.

What we're looking for on paper

  • Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field
  • Full, unrestricted North Carolina licensure in good standing (LCSW, LPC-MHSP, or LMFT) — no supervision required
  • 3+ years of experience providing clinical mental health services preferred
  • Comfortable with EMR systems and standard technology tools
  • HIPAA-savvy and committed to ethical, patient-centered practice

A few things we'll ask when you apply

  • What license(s) do you hold in North Carolina?
  • What age ranges do you work with?
  • Are you interested in part-time or full-time?
  • Do you prefer a hybrid or in-office schedule?
