Job summary

Novacore in Conshohocken, PA is seeking a Technical Underwriter to join our underwriting team. You will evaluate risk, verify reinsurance terms, and collaborate with underwriters to determine the appropriate coverage for complex specialty cases in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of MGU/Healthcare underwriting, a Bachelor’s in risk management or related field, and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in risk management,Insurance or Business is preferred.
• 1-3 years’ experience in MGU/Healthcare underwriting.
• Strong time management and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Initial Rating and verification of entered reinsurance terms, benefits, and counts.
• Enter Renewal Terms and aggregate/shock claims data.
• Prepare and issue quotes through VP approval and generate renewals.
• Coordinate Nurse Reviews, data retrieval, and required underwriting coverage.
• Organize files and support binder/disclosure letters when needed.
