TEKsystems seeks a Category Manager to lead end-to-end category management, from strategy through supplier evaluation and performance monitoring. You will conduct market research, run sourcing events, and negotiate terms to optimize value while ensuring policy compliance.

The role requires strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, and it supports cross-functional collaboration in a hybrid Minneapolis environment.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or four additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience in category management and supplier evaluation methods.
• Experience negotiating commercial terms and managing sourcing events like RFPs/RFIs.
• Familiarity with contract language and procurement policies.
• Proficiency with procurement and contract management systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with financial acumen.
• Excellent communication to influence stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Manage assigned spend categories end to end, including strategy development and supplier evaluation.
• Conduct market research, spend analysis, and benchmarking to identify cost optimization opportunities.
• Lead sourcing events (RFPs/RFIs) and negotiations for moderately complex goods/services.
• Analyze supplier proposals and pricing to support informed decisions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align category plans with operational needs.
• Support contract development and negotiation with category insights and data.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive corrective actions and continuous improvement.
• Maintain documentation and supplier records in procurement systems.
• Contribute to process/tool/template enhancements for efficiency and consistency.
• Support budgeting and forecasting with category insights and spend projections.
