Qualifications

• Bachelor's in accounting; CPA license strongly preferred and active.
• Master's in taxation is a plus.
• Active CPA license required; AICPA membership desirable.
• Seven to ten years of public accounting experience with increasing tax complexity.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical tax review and approval of all tax returns and governmental tax examinations of any complexity.
• Serves as a subject matter expert in discipline or industry.
• Manages larger tax returns and delegates to tax preparers as needed.
• Maintains client service responsibility for assigned clients or as delegated by Partner.
• Delegates and manages governmental tax examinations; may represent clients before authorities.
• Develops staff through recruiting, evaluations, and training; instructors for professional development.
• Ensures smooth flow of tax returns through the preparation system and timely delivery.
• Oversees billing and collections related to tax work.
• Prepares reports and projects for Partners.
• Resears and evaluates tax software for firm recommendations.
• Participates in practice development through referrals and industry involvement.
